Healthcare Flexible Spending Account

The Health Care FSA covers certain out-of-pocket health care expenses allowed by the IRS for you and your legal dependents. This includes your spouse and your children. You can be reimbursed from the Health Care FSA for any eligible expense not covered by your health plans (medical, dental, and vision discount). This includes deductibles, copays, coinsurance, prescriptions, glasses and contact lenses, and more.

There are certain expenses that are not eligible for reimbursement under the Health Care FSA plan. These expenses include:

  • Expenses for which reimbursements are already available under another medical plan
  • Contributions/premiums paid for health coverage
  • The cost of Medicare insurance
  • Life insurance or income protection policies
  • Dependent care expenses
  • Cosmetic surgery
  • Weight loss programs (unless you have a doctor’s note)
  • Marriage counseling
  • Health club dues
